Contributor Node

An internet-connected device that shares its unused bandwidth with the U2DPN network, earning rewards in U2U tokens.

DPN (Decentralized Private Network)

A network architecture that routes internet traffic through a decentralized network of nodes, enhancing privacy and eliminating single points of failure.

U2U Subnet

A scaling layer within the Unicorn Ultra Network that facilitates fast, low-cost settlement and trust-minimized coordination among nodes.

U2U Token

The native cryptocurrency used within the U2DPN ecosystem to reward contributors and facilitate transactions.

Validator

A community-operated node that verifies session reports and disburses payments using proof-of-traffic smart contracts, ensuring network integrity.

Proof-of-Traffic

A mechanism by which validators confirm the amount of data transmitted during a session, enabling accurate reward distribution.

Session Lifecycle

The sequence of steps in a DPN session: Request → Matchmaking → Handshake → Streaming → Settlement.

Bidding Pool

A marketplace feature where buyers deposit a maximum bid per GB along with quality of service constraints, allowing for dynamic pricing based on demand.

Reputation Score

A metric (ranging from 0 to 100) reflecting a contributor's reliability, based on factors like uptime, latency, and successful session completions.

Surge Factor

A multiplier (ranging from 1× to 3×) applied to pricing during periods of high demand, incentivizing contributors to provide bandwidth.

Duration Fee

A component of the contributor's earnings, calculated based on the length of time a session remains active.

Bandwidth Shared Fee

A component of the contributor's earnings, calculated based on the volume of data transmitted during a session.

UMV (Universal Message Verification)

OstracismVM

A virtual machine used within the U2U Subnet to execute smart contracts and manage network operations efficiently.

A technology within the U2U Subnet that ensures seamless connectivity and interoperability across the network.
